License application/renewal files, 1982-[ongoing].

The ABC Board is authorized to issue and renew licenses to people who engage in alcoholic beverage transactions (Ala. Code 28-3A-3 [1975]). Licenses are valid for one year and licensees are required to renew their licenses on or before October 1 of each year. Thus a license renewal file is created for all licensees every year to document the renewal process. Each file may include the following documents: renewal applications, copy of license, and other related materials. In the case of a new licensee, the file may also include initial application forms, leased/property ownership forms, neighborhood sketch sheets, investigation reports, and information about the owner's financial situation.
